We knew it would happen, that one day some company would combine a phone with an MP3 player with a web browser.  Well this week it finally happened - and who better to introduce the first one than Apple? 

The Apple iPhone combines a new mobile phone, a widescreen iPod, and a new web browsing device with email, maps, and searching — into one small, lightweight handheld.  Very nice. 

As much as I’d love to get my hands on one, though, I’m going to wait for the price to go down a bit - while I do think it is worth the price tag, I think that like with iPods, I’m sure a new one will be released soon and I’ll be able to get a better deal on this one.  But for those who must get their hands on the latest cool gadget, this is a must-have.

So what is the tag?  Right now, the cost is $499 plus a monthly phone service fees.
