Design distinguishes notebook computers more than ever
(NC)-Patrick Evans, a first year university student loves the different ways through which to express his individuality. The autumn is Patrick’s favourite season because it is the time to stock up on new gear for the new academic year. This school year is different because Patrick is beginning university.
MP3 players, cell phones, and notebook computers all play a part of students’ daily lives. Technology has come a long way and now, more than ever, the design options available make buying new electronics items more personal than ever. Buying a notebook computer is at the top of Patrick’s must-have list of equipment for the new school year.
“This computer will be going everywhere I go and it’s important for it to meet all my needs and look cool. It will kind of be my calling card around campus,” said Patrick. “Word processing, spreadsheets and web surfing were basic requirements. But, I wanted to be able to also watch DVDs, play the odd video game for relaxation and keep in touch with my friends and family through instant message or webcam chats.”
Toshiba’s Satellite A200 fit the bill for Patrick. Its metallic midnight blue casing stands out from other computers. It comes equipped with a 15.4-inch display, 160MB built in memory, an Intel Core Duo T2450 processor, built in wireless LAN, a DVD SuperMulti Disk Drive, built-in webcam and Windows Vista Premium for $949.
“Our mobile computers this season come with all the technology students demand and the quality they expect but are designed to reflect their individual tastes with wide ranging colours and features,” says Mini Saluja, Toshiba product manager. “Our computers are extensions of ourselves today and the designs available this season address this fact.”
Students will have more options than ever when deciding upon the computer that best suits their needs and their tastes this year.
