Working With Your Cellular Phone Battery

Your cellular phone battery may be the best part of your cell phone or it may be the worst. In many cases we have enough battery life in our cell phone batteries to get us through until we get to the charger again. However with the constant text messaging, picture taking, web browsing and whatever else it is that we decide to do while we are using our cell phones we are in constant need of more power. For the most part this problem has been addressed by the manufacturers of the cell phones and it almost seems as if we can go for days without charging the battery. However for the hardcore cell phone user out there, there are other options available.

The first option to consider would be a car charger for your battery, this way you are able to charge your phone with you no matter where you are going. This is usually not included in the original package when the phone is purchased however can be obtained for a nominal fee from wherever you purchase your phone. A second option would be to carry a second battery for your phone. This can be pricy as a second battery can be very expensive, but may be a necessity if your current battery can no longer hold a charge. There is now a product that is available that is known as a battery booster. This runs on the traditional batteries and plugs into your phone to boost the battery that you have and to allow you the freedom of more power as well as to have the ability to increase your signal strength with this more powerful battery.

In essence take care of your battery, charge it as necessary and pay attention to the indicator on your handset so you know when you do need to charge. This will prolong your battery life and keep your up and running with your cell phone.

Â

Toys and electronic devices, including cameras, will work right away once these new Eneloop rechargeable batteries are taken out of the box.SANYO, the world leader in the development and manufacture of rechargeable batteries, has introduced the next-generation nickel metal hydride rechargeable battery named Eneloop that is as convenient to use as alkaline batteries because they are pre-charged. The first product based on SANYO’s Think GAIA vision, Eneloop is immediately usable from the box because it boasts minimal self-discharge, can be charged 1,000 times with little memory effect, and is recyclable when its long lifecycle is complete. The PET plastic packaging for the batteries is also recyclable, although it provides an ideal reusable case for the batteries.

SANYO research shows that Eneloop batteries have an 85 per cent residual ratio after one year of non-use in 20 degree Celsius temperatures (compared to regular rechargeables that lose one per cent of power per day), meaning the batteries can be left in an electronic device for months, but the batteries will retain 85 per cent of their charge. Internal tests also prove that Eneloop batteries can take 4.4 times more digital pictures than dry cell batteries, even in zero degree Celsius conditions. Eneloop maintains its low self-discharge rate and stability in temperatures as low as minus 5 degrees Celsius.

Although Eneloop is compatible with other battery chargers, its charger features a foldaway plug with dual voltage (110-240) recharging capability (does not include plug adapter) for worldwide travel convenience.

Available at The Source and other retailers in AA and AAA sizes, the manufacturer’s suggested retail price for Eneloop is $17.99 for an AA or AAA-two pack, $29.99 for an AA or AAA-four pack and $44.99 for an AA-8 pack. Quick charger units have an MSRP of $39.99 for an AA-two charger or $59.99 for an AA-four charger.
